Your End-of-Year Checklist
This simple check list outlines those important end-of-year tasks that can make a real difference to how smoothly your new school year begins!
How to use this guide
This page is organised into 7 simple steps helping you finish 2025, knowing that you're ready to go for the start of a busy Term 1, 2026!
Simply follow these steps below, and be sure to reach out to our team if you need any additional support.

Step 1. Check & update your service dates for the holiday break
We've preloaded your services with the standard state school holiday dates for 2026. If your school’s schedule has unique dates, no worries—you can easily update them through the supplier portal, using the instructions linked below for each day that differs from the standard dates.

Tip: Check that your first service date for the start next year is correct!
Step 2. Reduce the stock you have on hand
There are plenty of creative ways to use up stock, or avoid ordering more stock before the long break.
- Set Quantity Sell Limits (QSL) based on your remaining available stock. You can do this for a specific item, or on specific options.

- Offer a limited menu based on what is left, or is easy to replenish with minimal wastage over the break.

Step 3. Refresh your menu or catalogue
Freshen up your menu or shop catalogue for the new year through your supplier portal—add, remove, or update items and categories with ease.
Don't forget to add images where possible, so that your families can see what they are ordering!

Step 4. Ensure your printer has plenty of labels
Trust us, starting your first day of service with insufficient labels is a headache you don't want! Submit an order this side of the holidays, to start the new year with one less thing to worry about. Now is also a good time to check that your printer is working as expected.

Step 5. Check that your contact and bank details are up to date
Need to add or remove a user from your supplier portal, change contact information or even update your bank details? Tick it off your list this year, rather than in the rush of 2026.
Step 6. New year, new class lists
Updating your class lists is an important step—and a friendly reminder: once updated, it immediately forces all students at your school to update their class before they next order. To keep things running smoothly, make sure to wait until Term 4 wraps up before updating class lists.

Tip: You don't need individual student names, just the name of the class. Parents will add their child to the corresponding class, once classes are set in the new year.
Step 7. Print plenty of promotional resources
A new school year means a new group of families who may be new to your school. Set them up for success with resources - such as posters, flyers and social media images or newsletter content - that guide them through the process of ordering through your service.
Best of all? We've done the hard work for you! You can access everything you need from our Promotional Resource library - from flyers, to social media tiles to content for your school newsletter.
